[RDD] Linux Hyperterminal equivalent

1. PuTTY is a Windows application.  AFAIK it does not run on Linux.
2. PuTTY is an SSH/Telnet client for making remote connections via a
network.
3. HyperTerm is a terminal program that acts like a semi-dumb terminal
for communications via a serial port.

Apples and oranges.
